Day 1 - Individual arrival in Passau
Welcome to the picturesque city of three rivers, where the Danube, Inn and Ilz rivers meet! After checking in at the hotel and picking up your travel documents and rental bikes, there is time for your first discoveries. How about a visit to one of the rustic beer gardens? With a freshly tapped Heller and a Bavarian Obazda, your journey begins very relaxed.

Day 2 - From Passau to Engelhartszell/surroundings, approx. 30 km
You start your cycling holiday at a leisurely pace along the Danube and cycle along the Danube Cycle Path through the idyllic Upper Danube Valley in Austria. Once you arrive in Engelhartszell, you will encounter a piece of Austrian monastery culture: the country's only Trappist monastery opens its doors and its treasure trove of homemade liqueurs. A tasting is almost obligatory and a sensual introduction to your cycling holiday and the culture of enjoyment in Austria.

Day 3 - From Engelhartszell/surroundings to Aschach/Eferding, approx. 40 km
A natural wonder awaits you today on your cycle tour in Austria: the famous Schlögener Schlinge, where the Danube winds its way through the valley in dramatic bends. The short climb to the 'Schlögener Blick' is well worth it. A viewpoint that is almost kitschy in its beauty. In Aschach, a charming little Danube town with baroque facades on the Danube cycle path, the day comes to an enjoyable end. Perfect for anyone looking for unforgettable holiday moments on a cycle tour along the Danube Cycle Path.

A relaxing day of cycling takes you through the gentle landscapes of the Eferding Basin in Austria. A short stop to savour the delights of cider farmers along the Danube Cycle Path is a must. In Linz, the Upper Austrian capital of culture, a sweet must awaits: the famous Linzer Torte, best enjoyed in a traditional coffee house. If you like, take a stroll through the old town afterwards or take the mountain railway up the Pöstlingberg, a highlight of any cycle tour.

In Mitterkirchen, the Celtic village invites you to immerse yourself in ancient times. In Mauthausen, a sweet stopover is a must: In the factory shop of the Manner factory, pink-wrapped moments of happiness await, a sweet souvenir of your cycle tour along the Danube.

Day 6 - From Wallsee/Mitterkirchen to Marbach/surroundings, approx. 45 km
Today's stage of your cycle tour in Austria takes you through tranquil meadows and the mysterious Strudengau region, once feared by sailors, today a natural idyll with dense forests, meadows and birdsong along the Danube cycle path. Day 7 - From Marbach to Krems, approx. 50 km
A day straight out of a picture book on a cycling holiday in Austria: in the Wachau you will encounter golden vineyards, fragrant apricot gardens and small wine taverns that invite you to stop for a bite to eat. Treat yourself to a glass of Grüner Veltliner and regional specialities at the Wachauer Genuss Pause. The baroque Melk Abbey towers majestically over the Danube and accompanies you on your onward journey along the Danube cycle path to Krems, a highlight of every cycle tour.

Day 8 - From Krems to Tulln, approx. 40 km

Once there, there is time for a real Viennese Sacher Torte with whipped cream. The evening ends in style: perhaps with a walk to the Hofburg or through Schönbrunn Palace Park. A worthy end to your cycling holiday on the Danube.
