Day 1 - Individual arrival in Passau
Your cycling tour along the Danube Cycle Path begins in the picturesque three-river city of Passau. After checking in at your hotel, you will receive your travel documents. If you have booked a rental bike, it will be ready for pickup at our bike repair shop. Use the day for a first stroll through the historic old town—a lovely start to your cycling holiday in Austria.

Day 2 - From Passau to Aschach/surroundings, approx. 70 km
Right at the start of your cycling holiday, you'll experience the Danube in all its pristine beauty: mighty cliffs, rustic floodplain forests, and the famous monastery in Engelhartszell, famous for its herbal liqueurs. A special highlight of this stage is the impressive Schlögener Loop, a scenic gem along the Danube Cycle Path in Austria. You'll spend the night in charming Aschach an der Donau. Right at the start of your cycling holiday, you'll experience the Danube in all its pristine beauty: mighty cliffs, rustic floodplain forests, and the famous monastery in Engelhartszell, famous for its herbal liqueurs. Day 3 - From Aschach/surroundings to Grein/surroundings, approx. 85 km
Today's stage of your cycling tour takes you through the flat Eferding Basin to the cultural city of Linz – an exciting blend of industrial history and modern lifestyle. You'll continue cycling leisurely along the Danube to the historic town of Grein, known for its baroque flair and Austria's oldest theater.

Day 4 - From Grein/surroundings to Krems, approx. 85 km
This stage is considered the highlight of your trip. You pass through the legendary Strudengau and Nibelungengau regions and reach the gateway to the Wachau. The magnificent Melk Abbey is a must-see on any cycling tour through Austria. The tour then continues through picturesque wine-growing towns like Spitz and Dürnstein to charming Krems.

Day 5 - From Krems to Vienna, approx. 80 km
Your final day of cycling on the Danube Cycle Path takes you through the expansive Tullnerfeld region, past the Roman city of Tulln and the historic Klosterneuburg Abbey. Finally, Vienna appears on the horizon – the destination and crowning conclusion to your cycling holiday. Whether a visit to the Prater, a glass of wine at a wine tavern, or an evening concert – Vienna offers something for every taste.

Day 6 - Return journey to Passau or additional nights
On the last day of your cycling tour, you have the choice: an individual return journey, a return trip by bus or train to Passau (optional), or an extended stay in Vienna. Even without a bike, it's a worthwhile conclusion to your cycling tour along the Danube.
