Day 1 - Individual arrival in Passau
Welcome to Passau! Use the day for a relaxing stroll through the old town or take a walk up to Veste Oberhaus for a stunning view over the Danube, Inn, and Ilz rivers. At your hotel, you'll receive your travel documents – your rental bike will be ready for you at the nearby bike station.

Day 2 - From Passau to the Schlögener Schlinge, approx. 40 km
Today your cycling tour along the Danube begins. Enjoy a leisurely ride through lush riverside meadows, passing through Obernzell and the monastery of Engelhartszell. A break at a traditional beer garden offers the perfect chance to sample local delicacies and enjoy a refreshing drink.

Day 3 - Through the Schlögener Schlinge to Aschach, approx. 30km
Today, witness a natural wonder: the Schlögener Schlinge – a dramatic river bend surrounded by dense forests. A short hike to the 'Schlögener Blick' viewpoint rewards you with breathtaking panoramic views. Afterwards, continue your relaxed ride into the charming town of Aschach, perfect for a riverside break.

Day 4 - From Aschach to Mitterkirchen, approx. 60 km & train ride
Cycle at an easy pace through Feldkirchen to Ottensheim, where you'll board a train to Linz. Enjoy some time to explore the city or sip a coffee on the main square. Afterwards, your bike tour continues through the beautiful Machland region to Mitterkirchen.

Day 5 - From Mitterkirchen to the Mostviertel, approx. 45 km
Today you cycle through fertile landscapes with scattered orchards and historic farmhouses. A visit to Austria's oldest theatre in Grein is well worth it.

Day 6 - From the Mostviertel to the Wachau, approx. 35 km
Today, the Danube Cycle Path takes you into the famous Wachau region. A visit to the baroque Melk Abbey is a must. You then continue through vineyards and orchards. In the evening, enjoy a glass of Veltliner at sunset – a perfect way to end your day of cycling.

Day 7 - Through the Wachau to Vienna, approx. 40 km & train ride
Take a ferry across to the left bank of the Danube and cycle through the picturesque towns of Spitz, Dürnstein, and Weißenkirchen. With wine taverns, narrow alleys, and terraced vineyards, the Wachau offers its full charm. From Traismauer, a comfortable train ride brings you to Vienna – the crowning finale of your cycling adventure along the Danube.

Day 8 - Return or extension in Vienna
With many wonderful impressions and encounters, your journey comes to an end. In travel seasons A and B, return travel to Passau is by train (please note: personal bikes not included). In season C, a comfortable bus ride including bike transport takes you back to Passau. Return by train is also possible on request.
