What you should experience away from the Woodstock der Blasmusik

Tip 1: Rieder Bierbummel

Discover the Innviertel beer region

If you're ever in the Quellenviertel region, you shouldn't just look after your own beer. Only around 13.6 kilometres from the Woodstock festival site, you can immerse yourself in the variety of flavours of the Innviertel beer region. The Rieder Bierbummel- a whimsical stroll from brewery to restaurant, leads from the Biergasthof Riedberg, with its unique beer cellar, via the Ried brewery to the historic town centre with the former wheat beer brewery in the Braugasthof Träger and on to the Gasthaus Weberbräu.

Tip 2: Genussbauernhof & Knödelküchl Jenichl

Revealing the secret of Innviertel dumplings

Under no circumstances should you leave the Innviertel region without tasting the genuine Innviertler Surspeckknödel dumplings. Just a dumpling's turn away from the festival site, about 22 kilometres away, you will land in the dumpling paradise of Genussbauernhof-Knödelkuchl Jenichl in Altheim. Take your time, because you should have tried a real Innviertler Surspeckknödel once. At least once. And because it's much more fun in a group, the Knödlkuchl at Genussbauernhof Jenichl offers the opportunity to do just that.

Tip 5: WaldEntdeckerWelt

Stretch your legs in the Innviertel treetops

Are your legs a little tired from standing, making music and dancing for so long? Then take a leisurely stroll along the Kopfing treetop walk. The panoramic Innviertel forest experience at lofty heights is 30 kilometres from the Woodstock site. Stairs and towers, suspension bridges and walkways, all made of wood, carry you up to heights of more than 20 metres. And if you want to add a few more nights to the Woodstock of brass music, we recommend staying overnight in the unique tree hotels.
