Tobias Pötzelsberger lives two lives – and that's a good thing. In his day job, the 40-year-old is the host of the largest Austrian news program "Zeit im Bild." But deep in his heart, Poetzelsberger is a musician.

For 25 years, the Austrian has been making music. He started with blues and rock but soon delved into singer/songwriter styles. This is handcrafted music, acoustic guitars blend with soft pianos, the drums have drive but are never too loud, and you can hear three voices that fit perfectly together.

With his new, third album "Prudence," Tobias Poetzelsberger is exploring new paths – for the first time, we hear louder and edgier songs like "Carry you," a guitar-driven, upbeat song about the challenges of fatherhood. "Play it cool" is an analysis of failure, built on a Bossa Nova-inspired rhythm.

All in all, this is by far the most ambitious work you have ever heard from Tobias Poetzelsberger. It is new yet familiar, as the singer/songwriter likes to say: "It’s music to make your heart shine."
