Concert - Advent in Bad Ischl

The major Alpine folk music event “Advent in Bad Ischl with Peter Gillesberger” will take place on Saturday, December 19, 2026, at 4:00 p.m. at the Kongress- und TheaterHaus Bad Ischl.

The Ausseer Bradlmusi from the Styrian Salzkammergut, the Wolfganger Viergesang, the Hager Hausmusik from Bad Ischl, the Steff’n-Hansl Musi from the Attergau region of Upper Austria, the OisterniX vocal quartet from Carinthia, and the Lindmair Dreigesang from Bavaria invite you to enjoy a cozy, festive Advent season in Bad Ischl. Folk music narrator Peter Gillesberger will intersperse the program with Advent and Christmas stories from the region. Every year, visitors especially look forward to the down-to-earth shepherds’ play, which will be performed by the Grundlseer Hirtenkinder from the Ausseerland region under the direction of Herbert Gasperl.
