The first railway on the European continent is operating for visitors again. If you want to go on a romantic journey like in ancient times, why not take a ride in the horse-drawn railroad of Rainbach: To the content of nostalgia and railway lovers, the historic Hannibal II deluxe train still operates on part of the former track. A worthwhile museum for horse-drawn railways was established in the former railroad station of Kerschbaum. The historic building houses a lovely tavern as well. The first railway on the European continent is operating for visitors again. If you want to go on a romantic journey like in ancient times, why not get aboard the historic 'Hannibal II' deluxe train at Rainbach and head for a time travel across Mühlviertel Region.

Operation Times:
* May - October: Saturdays, Sundays and Public Holidays from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm.
* July to August: Running on weekdays from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm as well.
Special rides are available on demand.

Groups of 15+ can take a ride anytime with prior reservation.
Riding time is 30 minutes.

On all Sundays during Advent season, the horse-drawn railroad is in operation. Scheduled activities include a culture and a child activity program as well as an Advent market.
