In the snow-covered heart of the Sauwald in Upper Austria’s Innviertel region, we’ll whisk you away to a world of thousands of lights and enchanting huts, enveloped in the scent of baked apples and Christmas music. Far from the daily pre-Christmas hustle and bustle, you can get into the Advent spirit in peace and quiet at our Forest Christmas market.

Our Christmas market in the forest is one of the most beautiful in Upper Austria!

On Advent weekends, the forest transforms into a romantic Christmas wonderland. A flying Christ Child delivers heavenly surprises, while ponies and alpacas, the elf’s cottage, and fairy tales in the teepee tent bring the scene to life.

Around the Forest Christmas stage, more than 60 vendors showcase their traditional handicrafts. Plus, roasted and baked delicacies invite you to enjoy them and linger a while.
