Lentos - Museum of Modern Art

With a clear, coherent, top-class building designed by Zurich architects Weber & Hofer, Linz has had an art museum of international standing since 2003. The museum, which is impressive in its simplicity and outlines the city skyline, has already become a Linz landmark with the night-time illumination of its glass shell. In the immediate vicinity of the Danube, between the Nibelungen Bridge and the Brucknerhaus, it is only a few minutes' walk from the main square and at the same time offers relaxation in the spacious, green riverside area.

Generously dimensioned daylight rooms on the upper floor ensure ideal exhibition conditions on 2,500 m², including the exhibition hall - the largest museum space in Austria. Centrally accessible, the basement houses graphic and media art. The foyer and store, an auditorium with 250 seats, a flexible room for art education and the library complete the important public areas, which also include the popular café-restaurant with its Danube panorama terrace.
