The picturesque village of Waizenkirchen lies in Upper Austria´s northwest and is embedded in the scenic and wide open Aschach Valley. The village sprawls along the banks of the River Aschach, that meanders across the Waizenkirchen Basin and flows through Kollerbichel Granite into Aschach Valley. The stunning and romantic scenery of the Valley lends itself to outstanding walking, hiking and cycling. The banks and pastures of the river lure passionate anglers who pursue snook every chance they get!

The picturesque village of Waizenkirchen and the scenic surroundings are dotted by numerous chapels and wayside shrines as well as by a worthwhile Castle. There are great remote trails for hiking and cycling that put you close to the cultural sights and attractions of the area.

Waizenkirchen has at its heart various friendly inns and restaurants where a choice range of refreshments and freshly cooked food is on offer. In the warm summer months, visitors are invited to spend relaxed moments at the shady beer gardens.
