St. Konrad is a friendly rural community between Almtal and Salzkammergut and offers the ideal setting in which to relax and unwind, and plenty of hiking trails to explore nature up close.
St. Konrad makes a great base to explore Salzkammergut’s and Almtal’s many lovely lakes and sights. The town is in a quiet setting, yet within easy reach of Gmunden, Steyr, Hallstadt, Bad Ischl and Salzburg, which all offer great museums, culture and shopping.

How to get to St. Konrad in the Traunsee-Almtal region!
We recommend travelling by public transport!
by train:
via Gmunden railway station on the Salzkammergutbahn (line 170) and via Viechtwang or Scharnstein-Mühldorf railway station on the Almtalbahn (line 153) coming from Wels;
Numerous connections from Attang Puchheim or Wels station to the main trains on the Westbahn line (line 101) in the direction of Salzburg or Linz/Vienna or to Passau (D) on the Passau railway (line 150).
