The "Hofgarten 16" Local Heritage Museum calls to mind the Upper Austrian rural life of yesteryear. This outstanding building is more than 300 years old. The owners can be traced back to the year 1644. It once was home a wood turner ("Drechsler" in German), who gave the building its name: "Draxler House". The historical structure comprised a small farmstead and a fruit wine and schnapps distillery.

The cellar was used to store fruits and vegetables of own farming. The Handicrafts Museum provides an overview of the versatile crafts and trades that are deeply rooted in Raab, such as joiners, carpenters and cabinet-makers. The collections are rounded out by regular special exhibitions.

Saturdays 2:00pm to 4:00pm (May through October) and by prior appointment. Guided tours are available!
