St. Florian

Linz, Oberösterreich, Österreich

Welcome to St. Florian

Between May and October St. Florian offers a broad range of events with a focus being on the world-famous composer Anton Bruckner. Highlights include the legendary monastery concerts, a fascinating collection of paintings, one of Austria’s oldest and most impressive monastic libraries, and beautiful performances on the Bruckner organ.

Sumerauerhof is an open-air museum where you can see a wonderful collection of rural furniture as well as farming tools and machines. Special exhibitions are staged on a regular basis.

The historic fire brigade arsenal – located in the monastery’s former agricultural building – shows exhibits from the baroque period to today.

Hohenbrunn hunting palace, the only secular building designed by Jakob Pradtauer, boasts splendid stucco ceilings and a unique collection of porcelain decorated with hunting and antique motives.

The region’s undulating landscape offers great hiking and cycling, and there are beautiful gardens, great golf courses and nice little restaurants.
