The Symphony No. 9 in D minor, which is regarded both as the pinnacle of the Classical period and as a gateway to the Romantic era—not only because of its revolutionary integration of chorus and solo voices. Alongside the Hard Choir and the Linz Jeunesse Choir, four outstanding soloists—Susanne Bernhard, Katrin Wundsam, Sebastian Kohlhepp, and Rafael Fingerlos—will take the stage in the Grand Hall of the Brucknerhaus Linz. The New Year’s Concert and its repeat performance on January 2 are part of the Beethoven cycle presented by the Bruckner Orchestra Linz and the Brucknerhaus Linz, which began with Symphony No. 7 Symphony as part of the 2025 Bruckner Festival and will conclude on May 2, 2027, with a Sunday matinee featuring the Symphonies Nos. 2 and 4.
