An evening exploration and sunset cruise on Lake Attersee with the team from the [Gahberg Observatory](https://astronomie.at/), featuring fascinating insights into the celestial event. In the Attersee region, the solar eclipse begins at 7:23 p.m., when the sun is still about 8 degrees above the horizon. Maximum coverage of about 88% will be reached at 8:16 p.m., but by then the sun will be only about 1 degree (that’s 2 solar diameters) above the horizon. Special **solar eclipse glasses** are **required** to view the eclipse. These can be rented on board for a deposit of 5,-. **IMPORTANT INFORMATION: Due to weather conditions, the solar eclipse cruise can be booked online no earlier than 2 days before the cruise.** The cruise will take place **only if the weather is clear**. If **the trip is canceled** , the ticket price **will be** automatically refunded.
