Music & Literature: The Last Days of Humanity. Karl Kraus’s unstageable play \*The Last Days of Humanity\* as a musical reading with piano and vocals. In German language.
For baritone Georg Nigl, the art song should always negotiate the contradictions and danger zones of our time. Together with Nicholas Ofczarek - actor at the Burgtheater - and pianist Markus Hinterhäuser, he embarks on the adventure of Karl Kraus' texts in *Die letzten Tage der Menschlichkeit?*, which he juxtaposes with songs by composers Gustav Mahler and Hanns Eisler. The result is an artistic event that will not be forgotten: *Die letzten Tage der Menschlichkeit?* is not a concert in the classical sense, but a passionate, poetic and deeply moving examination of war, hope and dignity.
