Together with Erik Asatrian on the keys and Matheus Jardim on drums, the four musicians present original compositions by all band members. Stylistically rooted in modern jazz, "river" opens up the space for the individual artistic personalities of its members. The result, a multifaceted sound between virtuoso, energetic outbursts and delicate, ballad-like moments, guarantees an exciting and multi-layered listening experience. The quartet released their debut album Chameleon Circuit in 2024 on the international jazz label SkyDeck Music, followed by an EP (2026) in a special collaboration with jazz great Alex Sipiagin. The album Nina Feldgrill, which was nominated for the Austrian Jazz Prize in 2025 and on which "river" is significantly involved, also underlines the artistic presence of the formation. Nina Feldgrill, electric bassist and composer from Vienna, an up-coming voice in European jazz, completed her bachelor's degree in jazz bass at the Music and Arts University of the City of Vienna (MUK) and is currently continuing her master's degree at Jam Music Lab University, where she received a full scholarship as part of the Ö1 Jazz Scholarship. She was awarded second place at the Austrian Jazz Prize 2024 in the Best Newcomer category.
