Paradise calls - Undercover im Wiener Rotlichtmilieu" is a suspense novel with an accidental investigator. The story is set in Vienna in the early 2000s, at a time when people were used to being reachable on their cell phones at all times, but when smartphones did not yet exist, in a city where different criminal milieus and mafia circles coexist and over a million people from all over the world live together. The main character is journalism student Laura, who not only wants to learn about the undercover research method in theory, but also wants to try it out for herself. So she ends up in a call center and places prostitutes. When one of them is murdered, she tries to find the murderer together with the pimp Andi - without police interference, of course. The author Nina Jelinek will read excerpts from her new work. Some pieces, which will be played on instruments in the Mechanische Klangfabrik in between, will allow listeners to travel to Vienna and immerse themselves completely in the story.
