In this photographic series, the photographer focuses on the social meanings of spaces.

 The focus is on inns in rural regions of Upper Austria that have already closed or are about to close.

She takes a photographic approach to the inn as a silent archive of a living community. Faded colors, patina and aged wood bear traces of conversations and habits that were taken for granted here. The images refer to the disappearance of social places and the void they leave behind in community life. Nostalgia and memory form the atmospheric framework of the series and open up the question of what remains when such spaces fall silent and where community is negotiated today.
