Their work laid the foundation for our understanding of the universe—yet remained unrecognized for a long time. Based on hundreds of thousands of astronomical photographs, the so-called Harvard Computers developed systems that made the sky legible as an ordered field.In *Stellar Atmospheres*, Hamann translates these systematizations into artistic material and transforms them into a sculptural style—navigating the space between light and system, observation and abstraction, the individual object and comparative cosmic order.
