At this concert for schoolchildren aged 10 and over, the Brucknerhaus organ, played by world star Cameron Carpenter, meets a silent film by legendary director and actor Charlie Chaplin. In The Tramp, Chaplin plays a tramp who experiences many an adventure: after he protects a girl from three robbers, she gives him work on her father's farm as a reward. He falls head over heels in love with the girl, but when her fiancé comes to visit, he realizes that he has to move on. The comedy from 1915 is one of Chaplin's early works, but his unique slapstick style was nonetheless already in full bloom. But what would a silent movie be without the right music? Organ virtuoso Cameron Carpenter - himself a big Chaplin fan - accompanies The Tramp live on the largest instrument in the Brucknerhaus. After the film, he will introduce us to his 'one-man orchestra' and talk about his special relationship with the organ.
