Under the title VOICE ART, the St. Florian Boys’ Choir presents a varied program featuring sacred choral music, Austrian folk music, and modern arrangements. The program includes, among other pieces, Franz Kropfreiter’s “Tota pulchra es Maria,” Billy Joel’s “And So It Goes” arranged by Bob Chilcott, “Greensleeves,” and well-known Austrian songs such as “Singa is unsa Freid” and “Drum sama Landsleut.” The concert concludes with Anton Bruckner’s “Locus iste.” In the second part, the Armenian youth choir \*Little Singers of Armenia\* takes the stage. With its own program, the choir offers a glimpse into the diverse choral music of Armenia and brings a completely different musical language to Linz. To conclude the concert evening, both choirs will perform together. With a work by Franz Schubert and an Armenian song, the two musical worlds will once again come together directly. The net proceeds from the concert will go toward the restoration and preservation of St. Mary’s Cathedral. The concert itself will take place in the Old Cathedral.
