**Wherever, Baby**
Seventy images, seventy stories, seventy literary masterpieces
Here one makes his life visible in snapshots, narratively crossing continents and times, and sometimes recounts the fleetingness of the moment ironically, but always with passion and virtuosity.
In memory of the classic photo album, where often blurry images documented the adventures of the moment in keywords, Christoph Ransmayr tells in "Wherever, Baby" seventy stories condensed into *micro-novels* based on seventy of his black-and-white photographs. Each photo is an optical note, owed to the randomness of presence and recorded in passing with a smartphone or digital camera. Each text accompanying the image becomes a self-contained, polished piece of prose: a micro-novel.
For from expeditions into the moments of reality and into the boundlessness of fantasy can also be told in just a few lines - especially when it is done with the observational skills and the art of formulation of the world-experienced Christoph Ransmayr.
