Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy's motet *"Hora est"* opens a polyphonic sound space between expectation and collection, which is followed by Thomas Daniel Schlee's *Stabat Mater* from op. 18 - a work of quiet urgency that has a special resonance in memory of the composer who died in November 2025. Domenico Scarlatti's large-scale *Stabat Mater* for ten voices deepens this spiritual dimension with impressive polyphonic tension. Anton Heiller's *Fantasia super "Salve Regina"* takes the Marian idea further into the tonal language of the 20th century, before Mendelssohn leads the evening to an open, luminous conclusion with *Ave Maria* and *Te Deum*. The ***Company of Music*** under the direction of Johannes Hiemetsberger is one of Austria's most distinguished vocal ensembles. As a "vocal orchestra", it combines precision, stylistic openness and programmatic curiosity. Together with the organists ***Eivind Berg*** and Erich Traxler, the result is a concert that brings voices and organ into a broad, multi-layered dialog.
