Exhibition: CLOUDSPACE

With her exhibition CLOUDSPACE , Sarah Katharina Eder transforms the former post office in Bad Leonfelden into a real walk-in online memory. The exhibition addresses the loss of analogue cultural techniques in the course of digitalization and poses questions about memory and materiality in an increasingly virtual world.

Digital photographs are transferred to fabric and paper using digital printing, screen printing and blueprinting and merge into an analog collection of traces. This turns fleeting data into tangible objects, memories into patterns that are memorized through repetition. The artistic use of the vacant space also revitalizes a central location on the town square.
