The name of the ensemble is derived from the local mountain in Vorderstoder, the Tamberg, which is located between Hinterstoder, Vorderstoder, St. Pankraz and Windischgarsten. The ensemble performs in various formations, from trio to dance music ensemble and brass band. At Advent am Dom, the group performs as a brass quartet.
