The focus is on the **Hallstättersee "Fuhr"** - a historic watercraft that once formed the economic backbone of the region and is still regarded today as a symbol of craftsmanship, closeness to nature and living tradition. On this day, visitors have the rare opportunity not only to visit the workshop on the upper floor of the boat hut with its detailed production processes, but also to talk to active members of the association. They provide expert insights into the elaborate construction, history and use of the boats. On request, the short trips with a real "Plättenkapitän" or "Plättenkapitänin" are particularly special, where the magic of these unique boats of the Inner Salzkammergut can best be experienced - gliding silently over the waters of [**Lake Hallstatt**](https://dachstein.salzkammergut.at/hallstaettersee.html?utm_campaign=tourdata&utm_medium=text&utm_source=tourdata).
