Right at the start, you roll across wide meadows and fields on the Austrian side - with wonderful panoramic views of small, idyllic villages. The climbs are moderate, the paths are well-maintained and the gravel runs as if by itself. You are soon immersed in the tranquillity of the national park, where dense mixed and coniferous forests alternate and you are riding on over 50% of the finest gravel paths. After the 1/10 border crossing, the route takes you deep into untouched nature - accompanied by clear streams, soft forest floor and small clearings that offer views of the Vltava reservoir. Along the way, rustic huts invite you to take a cozy break - perfect for a coffee or a snack with a view. On the way back, the landscape opens up again: rolling hills, wide fields and beautiful views of the Mühlviertel, where you can relax and let the day roll by.
