Total 7.3 km and 473 m ascent. **Directions:** We start just below the Hambaum at a car park on the left right next to the road. The route first leads us over a small alpine pasture, then over forest roads up to our first destination. At a hunters' hut after 2.2 km, we keep left and climb a non-marked path up to possibly the smallest genuine summit cross in the area. The Planwipf, located at 984 m high. We run the same way back down to the hunters' hut and follow the forest road, which now leads us toward the actual goal. At km 3.4 the forest road splits, and we continue to the right. On the summit plateau of the Steinmühlen awaits us a newly erected large summit cross with a splendid view of the surroundings. The path continues. A hunting stand is visible nearby. We run the path and then down the forest road, keeping left of the path. At km 4.9, we turn left off the forest road onto a forest path; a small pile of stones marks the turn. We now run moderately steep through the forest, crossing a forest road once, until we meet another forest road that we follow to the right for a few hundred meters. Shortly before a house, the path goes right onto a meadow path again heading toward our starting point. **Equipment:** The required equipment always depends on the respective route and weather conditions. Regarding provisions: this is very individual and it is advisable to have more rather than less equipment and provisions. A 5km round in the valley requires less than a demanding route in the mountains. The weather can change quickly, and if you are not constantly moving or need to take a break, warm clothing is very important, for example. We have a general checklist here for you: Weather-appropriate running clothing for the respective season – weather forecast – region – altitude. This includes, among other things: \* a waterproof rain jacket \* waterproof rain pants suitable for running \* gloves and warm headgear (cap/headband/tube scarf) \* sunglasses + sunscreen + headgear for very warm days Trail running shoes Water bottles, soft flasks, or a hydration bladder with sufficient liquid for the respective route (possibly also salt tablets/magnesium) Snacks for an energy boost in between: energy bars, gels, chocolate, trail mix, Running backpack: ideally a trail running vest / a trail running backpack or a waist belt for small routes. Dry pack: so that your valuables or change of clothes stay dry (optionally a small trash bag) Emergency blanket Small first aid kit. An Israeli bandage is, in my opinion, highly recommended: this is a one-handed operable wound and pressure dressing. Details can be found here. Emergency whistle (often integrated in the trail backpack) Mobile phone Maps (online and/or offline) Health insurance card Some cash Crampons/spikes: these can be a great advantage in winter and icy conditions.
