The loop of just under 10 km and 316 m elevation gain is ideal for a short, technically simple run through the Trichtlgraben and the Vorderbergergraben. **Directions:** Start at the bus stop directly next to the Gasthaus Derfler, we run back a few hundred meters and then turn left into Reicherstraße, which we also run along for a few hundred meters. At the first bend, however, we already run straight ahead, leaving the paved road into the Trichtlgraben. Always along the stream, moderately steep, it goes on a beautiful path through the ravine until we reach forest roads at the end of the Vorderbergergraben where we will run for the next few kilometers through the forests of the Spadenberg. The loop then leads us back into the Vorderbergergraben. We run back the same way and soon return to our starting point. **Tip:** Dining option at the Gasthaus Derfler directly next to the bus stop in Sulzbach. **Equipment:** The required equipment always depends on the specific route and weather conditions. Regarding food: This is very individual and it is advisable to have more rather than less equipment and provisions with you. A 5 km round in the valley requires less than a demanding route in the mountains. The weather can change quickly and if you are not constantly moving or need to take a break, warming clothing is very important, for example. We have a general checklist for you here: Weather-appropriate running clothes for the respective season – weather forecast – region – altitude. These include, among others: \* a waterproof rain jacket \* waterproof rain pants suitable for running \* gloves and warm headgear (cap/headband/tube scarf) \* sunglasses + sunscreen + headgear for very warm days Trail running shoes Water bottles, soft flasks or a hydration bladder with enough liquid for the respective tour (possibly also salt tablets/magnesium) Snacks for energy boosts in between: energy bars, gels, chocolate, trail mix, Running backpack: ideally a trail running vest / a trail running backpack or a waist belt for small tours. Dry pack: to keep your valuables or change of clothes dry (optionally a small garbage bag) Emergency blanket Small first aid kit. In my opinion, an Israeli bandage is highly recommended: it is a one-handed wound and pressure bandage. You can find details here.
