Through the underpass, we immediately reach the entrance of the Kreuzberg path. The beautifully designed path leads us gently uphill to the three crosses, which we reach after about 3 km. Then it goes down until we come to a road which we follow. Signposts for Panoramic Route and Rotmäuer show us the right way. Along the farm road "Kochlöffl," we turn left and from here run on beautiful forest paths and trails up to the Rotmäuer. Upon arrival, a fantastic view of the Ennstal awaits us. From here, it goes back towards Kreuzberg. Via main road and paths, we go through varied ups and downs back to our starting point at the train station in Weyer. **Tip:** At the summit of the Rotmäuer there is a box of drinks, please bring money. **Equipment:** The required equipment always depends on the respective route and the weather conditions. Regarding food: this is very individual, and it is advisable to have more rather than less in terms of equipment and provisions. A 5 km route in the valley requires less than a demanding tour in the mountains. The weather can change quickly, and if you are not constantly moving or need to take a break, warm clothing is very important, for example. We have a general checklist for you here: Weather-appropriate running clothes for the respective season – weather forecast – region – altitude. These include, among others: \* a waterproof rain jacket \* waterproof rain pants suitable for running \* gloves and warm headwear (cap/headband/scarf) \* sunglasses + sunscreen + headwear for very warm days Trail running shoes Water bottles, soft flasks, or a hydration bladder with sufficient fluid for the respective tour (possibly also salt tablets/magnesium) Snacks for an energy boost in between: energy bars, gels, chocolate, trail mix, Running backpack: ideally a trail running vest / a trail running backpack or a waist belt for small tours. Drypack: to keep your valuables or change of clothes dry (optionally a small garbage bag) Emergency blanket Small first aid kit. In my opinion, an Israeli bandage is highly recommended: it is a one-handed wound and pressure bandage. You can find details here.
