From here, you walk through the picturesque forest above the power plant. You follow the path past the Steeg shooting range through the villages of Ramsau and Gschwandt to Weißenbach. Now it continues towards Lauffen. Here a short detour to the "Wilden Lauffen" is worthwhile. These rapids of the Traun used to present a major obstacle to shipping. Then follows the section "Engleiten" to Bad Ischl. The path runs above the road past the "Emperor hunting statue" to the ski jump in Bad Ischl. There is an active drill hole probe explained by an information panel. Turn right here to reach the racecourse in Bad Ischl. On the building "Distributor station racecourse" there is an information panel and an overview plan. This is also where the brine extracted in Bad Ischl is collected and forwarded. Follow the Esplanade to the former saltworks "Sudhaus Bad Ischl." There is still the "cementing" where the brine pipelines from Hallstatt and Altaussee are united. Continue to the train station and over the Steinfeld bridge towards the sewage plant. After the sewage plant, cross the bridge and follow the footpath beside the federal road to the "Kößlbach" bridge. Here you switch again to the right side of the Traun and follow the road, which soon becomes a gravel forest road. At Langwies train station, cross the Traun again and turn left after about 100 meters. The path runs along the edge of the forest above the federal road to the "Distributor station Mitterberg." From here, the old brine pipeline continues straight on; however, you turn right, cross the federal road, and follow the path to the saltworks in Ebensee. Here, the visitor center Ebensee awaits you as the final station of the route. Very nearby is the bus stop "Lahnstein/Traun - Gewerbegebiet." The [historic brine pipeline route](https://www.salzkammergut.at/erleben/sommer/wandern/artikel/detail/9565/der-soleleitungsweg.html) is closed due to natural conditions from late autumn to spring. In spring, an active inspection is carried out to restore the safety of the route.
