A special feature is the large number of anthills along the hiking trail. We start at the hiking starting point. Passing the Hafnerhaus, after approx. 500 m there is a small ascent to the "Lias am Berg" holiday farm. We then continue along the western edge of the forest on an old trade route and enjoy the beautiful views, including of the two Maria Schnee churches. Once we reach Pramhöf, the next ascent begins up to the Opferstein. Here we have reached about half of the hiking route. There is a bench for a rest. We pass through the municipality of Grünbach (Paßberg) and then descend to Mardetschlag. On this section of the route, we again experience a fantastic view over Mardetschlag and the Czech Republic. Once we arrive in Mardetschlag, we have the opportunity to stop for refreshments at the Gasthaus Pammer. After refreshments, the hike continues without effort to the border river Maltsch to Hammern. In Hammern we reach a pedestrian bridge over the Maltsch, which leads to the neighbouring Czech Republic. If you feel like it, you can visit the church in Zettwing in the Czech Republic after a 10-minute walk. After Hammern, the hike continues past the Körner pyramid back to Mardetschlag. We hike along the old school path to Leopoldschlag back to the starting point.
