Here you go slightly left up a path that soon flattens out and that you can nicely run uphill if you want. You follow the alpine path towards Grünberg. On the way, you can catch an impressive view of the Traunstein before continuing on forest roads. In warm weather, it is still quite pleasant and shady here. At the Holzknecht shelter, take the right turn to Laudachsee. It goes down a bit, and then you stand directly at the small mountain lake. The view of the Katzenstein opposite is especially beautiful from here. If you have poles, you should take them out now at the latest, as it gets quite steep at the end of the lake up to the high saddle. In the uppermost section, you need your hands briefly to get over a few steep steps equipped with ropes and pins. It's worth turning around here once and admiring the moorish Laudachsee from above. In the following downhill along the Gassnersteig, you can really give it some speed if you like slightly more technical terrain and the mix of roots and limestone rocks typical for this area. Once you reach the valley floor, you first follow the forest road straight towards the lake. Then you have the choice whether to take the detour via the trail to the small Schönberg or continue directly on the road to the Traunsee shore. The view from Schönberg is indescribable; you see the whole beauty of the Traunsee and the surroundings. The trail to Schönberg follows a ridge over roots and stones, is partly great to run, and has very little additional elevation gain. Those who can or must tear themselves away from the view at the end can either run back the same way or shorten the route steeply and rootily down the forest on the marked path. The path along the Traunsee shore passes through two tunnels and shortly before reaching the main street, it passes a delicious water source. From the turning point, follow the road back to the starting point (Hoisn). **Directions:** Follow the signage to Laudachsee, to the high saddle, the Schönberg, and finally to Gasthof Hoisn.**Tip:** If the route is still too short for you, you can add the Katzenstein from the high saddle or make a surprise at the foot of the Traunsteiner Zierlsteig at the end.**Safety guidelines:** When ascending to the high saddle and descending from the Schönberg, make sure everything is snow-free.**Equipment:** Trail running equipment and enough to drink.
