The hike first leads steadily uphill to Oberrauchenödt, to the filial church of St. Michael, from here it goes down to the source area of the Feldaist and via Mitterbach and Heinrichschlag back to Grünbach; We start at the market fountain heading south-east and turn half-left at the municipal office. The route now climbs steadily uphill onto Pflüglbergstraße and we reach the forest, which we cross in a fairly straight line. Now we head uphill along the edge of the forest on the left and turn off to the right. From here we can enjoy the view as far as the Alps and we reach the Schwaighofer farm, which we pass on the left. Before the forest begins, we turn right towards Oberrauchenödt. We cross the Böhmerwaldstraße road and turn left in the village, keeping left until we cross the Böhmerwaldstraße road again and climb up to the St. Michael filial church. The viewing platform has a panorama board and offers a marvellous view. The Gothic church is also worth a visit. South of the Mesnerhaus, the route now heads towards Mitterbach. The two wind turbines of Spörbichl appear on the left and in the hollow in front of us is the source area of the Feldaist, which is also a designated bird sanctuary for ground-nesting birds. We reach the Böhmerwaldstraße again and walk left along it to the forest and turn half-left. )After a few metres, you can take a short detour to the highest point in the municipality of Grünbach, "Didis Höhe" at 931.56 metres). We leave the forest at the Forellenwirt fish pond and can stop for a bite to eat at the Forellenwirt inn. From here, take the road to Heinrichschlag and continue towards Grünbach. In the forest, the path branches off to the right and we pass the water supply elevated tank and cross the road shortly before the village area and follow the forest road, which we leave to the right again after a few metres. At a large spruce tree, we branch off to the left and follow the path and enjoy the view of Grünbach, the Sternstein and the wider surroundings, Now we meet the path to Pflüglberstraße again and descend to the market fountain.
