Over the new Saurüsselstraße to Kleinhollenstein. From Weyer, start from the market square, go through Hollensteinerstraße directly to the Saurüssel and on to Kleinhollenstein. There turn left for a few hundred meters to join the Ybbstalradweg. This leads downstream to Opponitz (turn right at the Bruckwirt). From there to the Kleine Kripp to Großprolling and Kleinprolling. Then at the Kleinprolling turnoff turn right uphill, past Gut Theuretzbach and over the hill to the pilgrimage destination Maria Seesal. After the inner refreshment in the church, there is also the option to refresh physically at the nearby Krumpmühle inn. Continue on the road to Ybbsitz, which features the parish church, a mighty late Gothic hall church, as well as many other sights and places to rest. The “little Ybbstalradweg” leads to Gstadt station, then continues to Waidhofen town and back to Gaflenz and Weyer. Those who want to make the route shorter can take the train from Waidhofen Stadt station back to Gaflenz or Weyer. **Safety guidelines:** Please note: For environmental reasons, extensive signage has largely been omitted along the route. Das Querschiff ist auf beiden Seiten zwei Joch lang mit 3/8-Schlüssen. Der Südturm stammt im unteren Bereich aus der Gotik. Die kreuzgewölbte Turmkapelle ist mit Stuck von 1745 ausgestattet. Der dreiachsige Chor ruht auf Kreuzrippen- und Sternrippengewölbe. In der Kirche sind gotische Fresken erhalten. Eines davon - die „Verkündigung des Herrn“ - stammt aus dem ersten Viertel des 14. Jahrhunderts. Im Gewölbe des Langhauses befinden sich die Evangelistensymbole, die in der Mitte des 15. Jahrhunderts entstanden sind. Beide Fresken wurden 1949 freigelegt und zum Teil stark restauriert. Die vier Altäre wurden 1532 durch Türkenangriffe fast zerstört. Unter den daraufhin neu errichteten Altären war einer der hl. Anna geweiht. 1775 wurde einen neue Seitenkapelle errichtet und 1881 aus der Turmkapelle eine Lourdesgrotte geschaffen. Im Jahr 2004 wurde im Zug der Renovierung der Marienaltar durch eine besondere Anordnung der Bänke und einen Kerzentisch aufgewertet und die Lourdesgrotte zu einem "Ort der Versöhnung", einem Beicht- und Aussprachezimmer umgestaltet. Der Hochaltar entstand 1661 (Christoph Matthäus Degenhart), er zeigt den Pfarrpatron Johannes, den Evangelisten, als Seher auf Patmos zu Füßen Mariens. 1675 und 1755 wurden daran Veränderungen vorgenommen.1847 Abtragung des spätgotischen Presbyteriums und Neubau an das alte Langhaus. Es ist neben der Maximilianskirche in Linz der früheste Bau der Neugotik im Land. Besonders zu erwähnen ist der Marienaltar, der neben den anderen drei Altären nach dem Türkensturm neu geweiht wurde. Er erhielt 1628 als Hauptplastik eine „Maria mit dem Kinde“ von Hans Spindler. Diese Gnadenbild „Maria Trost“ zu Weyer entwickelte sich zu einer Wallfahrtsstätte. Der Annaaltar zeigt eine Holzplastik der „Anna Selbdritt“ (1535) und Begleitfiguren des hl. Johannes des Täufers und des hl. Leopold. Die Kanzel wurde urkundlich 1711 vom Tischler Bartholomäo Riedelsberger aus Weyer gebaut. Im Langhaus sind einige barocke Statuen, zum Teil aus dem 17. Jahrhundert aufgestellt. In der Kirche sind weiters ein gotischer Taufstein, ein barockes Weihwasserbecken sowie mehrere gotische und barocke Grabsteine.Die Glocke wurde 1711 gegossen. Die Ausstattungsgeschichte wurde mit neuen Objekten des in Weyer lebenden Bildhauers Alois Lindenbauer erweitert. Der europaweit renommierte und in Weyer geborene Künstler Siegfried Anzinger gestaltete für die Pfarrkirche Weyer zwei Glasfenster. Er hat je ein Fenster als Frauen- und Männerfenster konzipiert und auch mit dem geläufigen Symbol gekennzeichnet. Jedes Fenster besteht aus sechs Feldern, die zu einer Einheit verbunden sind.
