Until the early 1970s, wood was transported from the valley by train; afterwards, it was discontinued for cost reasons. Over time, nature has reclaimed this track. The educational trail along this original route is intended to show that the forces of nature outlast humans. The herb educational trail is divided into 21 display panels, equipped with interactive elements that encourage participation and research. The front side of the panels shows factual information about each plant, and the back side contains active prompts for researching and experimenting. Additionally, online materials are provided for visitors with the help of QR codes. Content-wise, the trail covers various topics from the bee and herb world. From seed dispersal, through the giants of prehistoric times, to the pollination of plants by bees, everything can be experienced and explored. Visitors can expect magnifying glasses, measuring tapes, games, and exciting research tasks. Embedded in the natural environment of the herb and bee world, there is a nature laboratory that invites discovery: trying out is definitely allowed. **Directions:** The herb educational trail runs for approximately 2.5 km mostly on the old forest railway route and on the public municipal road. The path begins at the forest railway info hut (Brunnbachstadl), crosses the stream via a footbridge, and crosses the road before the “Hoidabrücke” bridge. From there, the trail continues along the left side of the stream on land owned by the Scharnreithner family (Almbauer) to the Waldburg bridge. At the Waldburg bridge, the trail turns back and runs along the municipal road back to Brunnbachstadl. **Tip:** Online materials for pre- and post-processing of the bee and herb educational trail are provided via QR codes. **Safety guidelines:** Attention: Not all plants are suitable for consumption. We also ask for consideration of nature and the provided materials. **Equipment:** Sturdy footwear recommended, not suitable for strollers. **Additional information:** At the start and end point is the Brunnbachstadl, where regional delicacies and refreshments are served.
