On the Kugelberg circular route, you then go through the **Almbachtal** to **Rosenlehen**. Immediately afterwards, you meet Hinterseestraße again, but follow it only 120 m to the right, then turn right onto Seestraße to hike to the nearby **Hintersee** (688 m). On the left, go along the lake shore path past the Lago Bar and along the north shore to the swimming area Hirschpoint (kiosk) and then briefly along the road. After the Taugl bridge, turn right to the south shore and then left onto a forest road. On this road, after 800 m, you reach a junction. If you go right, you can take a detour to the impressive **Ice Chapel** (avalanche remains from last winter). Round trip about 50 minutes. The path on the left continues to the provincial road, which is crossed again. Then the path leads about 3 km through forest and along the lively mountain stream Taugl into the valley until, after the bridge over Ladenbach, you go right into the village **Hintersee** (746 m). 1:00 h **Safety guidelines:** - In alpine terrain, beware of the danger of falling rocks. - Until early summer, you may encounter steep snowfields or firn gullies there – especially when icy, this poses an acute risk of falling and thus a danger to life! - Due to storm damage, forestry work or construction measures, some sections of the path may be temporarily difficult or even impossible to pass. - Cows on the alpine pastures are often curious. Due to cow-calf husbandry, they develop a strong instinct to protect their calves. So move calmly on cow pastures, keep at least 20 m distance from the animals and do not pet calves under any circumstances! In case of threat gestures (scraping, stamping), walk away slowly backwards (do not turn your back). Keep dogs on a leash; they must not bark at or chase cows. In an attack, let them off the leash immediately. **Equipment:** For all stages, you need hiking or mountain shoes with a rubber profile sole as well as wind- and waterproof clothing. Spare clothes for changing and a small emergency first aid kit should also be in your backpack. How much food you pack depends on the number of places to stop for refreshments. In any case, you should take enough to drink.
