Überlieferung soll ein Stein mit Jahreszahl in der Kirche eingemauert sein) und im späten Mittelalter gotisch umgebaut worden sein. Das alte g**otische Gewölbe** **stürzte 1713/1714 ein** und beim Wiederaufbau wurde die Kirche **barockisiert**, lediglich die Sakristeitür ist noch gotisch. Under the motto "Ways to the ME", a hiking trail leads from the village center (Hotel Kocher) to the idyllically high Etzinger Hill. Interactive stations enable hikers to find themselves on the 3-kilometer path to the pyramid by means of NATURESPONSE® nature feedback exercises and to perceive the harmony of nature. Inside the pyramid there is also the possibility to relax during auditory mediation exercises. Der Kulturlandschaftscharakter wird durch Dörfer, Weiler und Einzelgehöfte, kleine Hügel und Senken sowie große und kleine Bacheinschnitte geprägt. Diese Besonderheit des Sauwaldes gilt es zu erhalten – etwa die Sicherung und Entwicklung von Strukturelementen wie Feldgehölzen, Einzelbäumen, Hecken, Hohlwegen, Lesesteinhaufen und Wällen. Sie erfreuen nicht nur unser Auge, sondern sind wichtige Lebensräume für eine Vielzahl von Pflanzen und Tieren. Der Schnaps - weithin bekannt als echtes Teufelszeug - geht angeblich wirklich auf den Leibhaftigen zurück.
