The Pesenbach has created a unique natural landscape over thousands of years. Granite formations – such as Kerzenstein, Blaue Gasser, or Teufelsbottiche – and untouched fauna and flora provide plenty of energy to recharge. The water rushes through a gorge with pools and roaring gradients, where the water cascades over or flows around rocks.

 **Description:**
From the marketplace in St. Martin, head to the school campus. In the Bee Information Center there, several short films show excerpts from the lives of honeybees, wild bees, and insects. After the village of Kobling, the bee exhibit hut stands at the forest edge. After crossing the Schröckerbach, the path now runs over typical Mühlviertler hills with magnificent views – over the Eferding basin towards the Alps. Finally, downhill into the Pesenbach Valley nature reserve. Following the stream upstream, the path leads through the gorge-like valley. Rare granite formations, such as the Teufelsbottiche or the Blaue Gasse, and an untouched fauna and flora make this landscape so unique. A short, steep ascent must be conquered to reach Kerzenstein. The hiking trail leads back to the now gentle Pesenbach. At the mouth of the Aubach, the path veers onto the forest path. After the ascent, a wonderful panoramic view awaits in the village of Reith. The starting point is already within sight.
