**Description:**
A relaxed hike into the Bodinggraben, one of the most beautiful valley ends in the Kalkalpen National Park. From the Scheiblingau car park you follow the creek of the Krumme Steyrling and reach the Jagahäusl snack station after about 30 minutes of comfortable walking. The path is also suitable for strollers up to here. From Jagahäusl a 2-kilometer circular route leads to the panoramic viewpoint and the “Bodigen”, which gave the valley its name.**Directions:**
From the **Scheiblingau car park** we hike along the Krumme Steyrling on a forest road, with little incline, about 30 minutes (1.7 km) into the Bodinggraben. Rustic gorge forests with lush hart's-tongue fern, fragrant violets, and magnificent goat's beard accompany you along the way. You will also come across the Maulaufloch, a mysterious karst spring, and can leaf through old pictures in the Triftbuch. Finally, the valley opens up and the imposing, steep northern flanks of the Sengsengebirge tower above. The forester’s lodge Bodinggraben majestically sits in the valley, opposite are the Anna Chapel, the Adjuncts' cottage, and the Jagahäusl snack station, where the 2-kilometer circular route begins. Passing the Jagahäusl on the left, you climb on trail no. 472 (ascent to Ebenforstalm) for about 10 minutes to reach the panoramic viewpoint. In the middle of a mountain meadow in full bloom during the summer months, you learn the names of the surrounding mountain peaks. The route continues to the “Bodingen”. Here the power of water has created basin-shaped erosion formations in the rock, commonly called Bodinge. The path leads further over a meadow with a magnificent view over the valley. Then it goes down a stretch through the forest to the forest road and back to the Jagahäusl. Especially popular with children is the water play station there, where they can splash around, build dams, and create streams.
**Tip:**
Please don't forget to save the route “offline” before you start, as mobile reception in the forest wilderness of the national park is not always available.

Annakapelle / Rosaliakapelle
Kleine Laubenkapelle mit Vorhalle
Die 1843 von Carl Zeitlinger errichtete Kapelle ging 1878 in den Besitz der Grafen Lamberg über. Die kleine Laubenkapelle mit Vorhalle ist der Heiligen Rosalia geweiht. Auf dem Satteldach sitzt ein Türmchen mit kleiner Glocke. An der Decke der Vorhalle kann man eine schöne Malerei mit der Heiligen Rosalia bewundern. Ein Schmiedeeisengitter mit den Buchstaben K.Z. und A.Z. und der Jahreszahl 1843 erinnert an die Familie Zeiltlinger, ehemailge Sensenwerkbesitzer.
Nach Gräfin Anna von Lamberg, die besonders gerne im Bodinggraben weilte, wird die Kapelle auch Annakapelle genannt.
Jedes Jahr zu [Anna am26. Juli](https://www.kalkalpen.at/veranstaltung/anna-messe-im-bodinggraben?eventDateId=5202669) und zu [Rosalia am 4. September](https://www.kalkalpen.at/veranstaltung/rosalia-messe?eventDateId=5202662) wird ab 10 Uhr eine heilige Messe gefeiert.
Bodinge
Über Jahrtausende hat sich der Bach ins Gestein eingegraben und tolle Bodinge (Bottiche) ausgeschliffen.
Forsthaus Bodinggraben
Forsthaus Bodinggraben - ehemaliges Jagdschlösschen der Grafen Lamberg
1830 ließ Eugen Fürst von Lamberg als Dienstsitz für Jäger und Unterkunft für seine Jagdgäste ein Steinhaus im Bodinggraben erbauen. 1873 wurde im Auftrag von Franz Emmerich Graf von Lamberg das Haus in ein großzügig gestaltetes Blockhaus umgebaut. Noch bis 1936 wurde es von der gräflichen Familie und ihren Jagdgästen genutzt. Heue ist es Dienstsitz für Gebietsbetreuer und Ranger Michael Kirchweger und seiner Familie im Bodinggraben.
Begonnen haben die Lambergs als Burggrafen - als treue Verwalter der kaiserlichen Burg in Steyr 1614. Gut 50 Jahre später hatte der Kaiser so hohe Schulden bei dem Lambergs, dass diese dafür die Herrschaft Steyr kaufen konnten. Mit dabei im Besitz waren weite Wälder im Süden von Steyr bis über das Sengsengebirge. Im Bodinggraben änderte sich deshalb kaum etwas: Die Wälder waren zum Großteil an die Sensenschmiede vergeben. Der Talgrund und die Rosaliakapelle und die Blumaueralm gehörten den Sensengewerken Zeitlinger in der Blumau bei Molln. All diese kleinen Privatbesitzungen wurden 1873 von Reichsgraf Franz Emmerich Lamberg aufgekauft und sein Besitz abgerundet.

Jagahäusl
Das Jagahäusl im Bodinggraben ist ein beliebtes Einkehrziel. Neben Jause & Getränk kannst du hier eine tolle Aussicht auf die umliegende Bergwelt genießen.
Wo früher der Jagdaufseher des Fürsten Lamberg wohnte, ist heute die ÖBF Versorgungsstation im Bodinggraben eingerichtet. Unweit des Hauses befindet sich ein kleiner, feiner [Wasserspielplatz](https://www.outdooractive.com/r/20938993/) des [Naturerlebnisweges "Wasser-Spuren" ](https://www.outdooractive.com/r/9953789/)- hier können Kinder ungestört spielen.

Parkplatz Jägahäusl im Bodinggraben ist von Molln aus erreichbar.
Der Parkplatz Jagahäusl liegt im Bodinggraben. Die Zufahrt mit KFZ ab Scheiblingau zum Parkplatz Jagahäusl ist von 1. Mai bis 31. Oktober ausschließlich in der Zeit von 6.00 bis 9.00 Uhr gestattet. Eine Rückfahrt ist jederzeit möglich.
