From St. Gilgen, the “Salzkammergut Cycle Path” takes you along the shores of Lake Wolfgangsee to the village of Strobl. From here, continue to Bad Ischl. Then towards to Ebensee and about 5 km you come to Mitterweißenbach. Turn left into the Weißenbachtal, where the path takes you to Lake Attersee. Now follow the shoreline in the direction of Unterach. On the southern shore of Lake Mondsee, take the road to the tunnel “Kienbergwand”. After the tunnel, turn left and return over the Scharfling Pass to St. Gilgen.
