After a 1.5-hour walk, you’ll reach the Ramsaualm (with a perfect view). Continue toward “Hohe Scharte.” The ascent to the summit is somewhat steeper and secured with iron pegs and wire ropes (not entirely suitable for children and dogs). Continue through the forest into the Lainau Valley to the Mair Alm snack bar—CURRENTLY CLOSED (Moaralm). From there, continue to the eastern shore of Lake Traunsee and back to the starting point (90 min.) or in 10 min. to the Hois’n Wirt (overnight accommodations). **PUBLIC TRANSPORT – HIKING TIP: Take** **[the Traunsee Taxi lines](http://www.traunseetaxi.at) 10 and 30, ,[the Traunsee boat ride](https://www.traunseeschifffahrt.at), or [the Grünberg cable car](https://gruenberg.info/)**.
