Hiking trail: E55 **Directions:** The path initially leads flat through the forest on a forest road to a junction, where you turn left. Here the path goes slightly uphill to the Gscheid (782m), which after the forest section almost seems like an alpine pasture. Here you turn left again and hike comfortably until you reach the road at the Hollnbuchnersiedlung. On the road it goes back to the starting point of the hike.**Tip:** At the Hollnbuchnersiedlung, a detour to the right to the orchid meadow (nature reserve) is recommended - especially in spring and summer.**Additional information:** The circular hiking trail spoils you with a wonderful view of the beautiful mountain world, e.g. the Hohe Dirn, Schieferstein area and the Laussa wind park. Nach einem steilen Aufstieg (10 Minuten) biegt man links in den Höhenweg ein; der Halbtrockenrasen befindet sich oberhalb des Pfades. Selbst botanische Laien werden von der hier gebotenen Blumenvielfalt beeindruckt sein. Eine Besonderheit sind die leuchtend roten Blütenstände des seltenen Spitzorchis. Diese und andere Orchideen kommen hier z.T. in Massen vor. Mächtige Bäume fallen auf, aber man übersieht die kleinen Pflanzen, die ihnen über Jahrhunderte den Boden bereitet haben. Diese als Flechten bezeichneten Gewächse sind faszinierend. Erstaunliche Zusammenhänge wie diese begegnen uns überall in der Natur. Wenn man Augen und Ohren offen hält, dringt man mit jeder Wanderung tiefer in das Geflecht der Wechselbeziehungen ein, die der lebendigen Welt Struktur und Gewalt verleihen.
