Its water is said to have healing powers for eye complaints. There is still a chapel next to it today. The path leads from the market square along the pavement in a westerly direction past the Raiffeisenbank - along Bundestraße 1 to the cemetery - fire station and Energie AG - then turns right towards Auleiten. The tarmac road leads us through meadows to the Auleiten pilgrimage church. We reach the Heilig Brünndl through a beautiful forest. Legend has it that an image of the Virgin Mary hung from a tree in a forest near Frankenmarkt. To protect it from storms and rain, it was taken to the church in Frankenmarkt. The next morning it was hanging on the tree again. A chapel was then built on this spot. The healing spring located there should be visited especially for eye complaints. Continue along the forest path and you will reach the road to Pöndorf again in the hamlet of Höhenwarth. After a sharp bend to the right and then to the left, we take a forest road on the edge of the forest to the north and later follow the signpost into the forest. After about 500 metres in the forest, we come to a forest road leading southwest, which then takes us out of the forest through the meadows of Buchscharten back to Frankenmarkt.
