The starting point is the car park at the Panorama indoor pool in Spital am Pyhrn. From here, cycle along the cycle path through the centre of Spital am Pyhrn, past the St. Leonhard cemetery church and the motorway access road to the end of the cycle path. After the bus stop, turn right over a bridge and then immediately left along the path into the forest on a gravel road. After a few hundred metres, it is worth taking a detour to the pond exit. Now continue through a subway and past the Pflegerteich pond before arriving at the Wurzeralm funicular valley station. Return along the same route.
