Welcome to the Unterach Time Travel Trail! Places usually change their appearance slowly, but constantly. Those who walk through their hometown every day often no longer notice these changes. We say: "Time leaves its mark". Not only in people's faces, but also in our landscape and architecture. Where once there was a monument, there is now a park. Where milk cans once stood ready for the horse-drawn cart, commuters now wait for the bus. Each generation has new demands on "its" home. Much of what has characterised spaces and landscapes over time has been put to other uses, redesigned or removed. However, if we take a closer look, we may be able to trace the places of the past. And develop a feeling for the life of the "noble society" that felt drawn to Unterach at the time. It's always exciting. If you keep your eyes and ears open, it usually doesn't take long before you find something and the older generation starts to tell you: "Can you remember what it was like back then..." However, we humans are transient, and so interesting information about our own place is often lost bit by bit. That's why we at the Unterach Tourist Office have gone in search of clues for you, rummaged through old archives and tracked down literature, postcards and old knowledge. We have asked what the streets, houses and squares we know used to look like. Who the people were who lived there and how these rooms and places were used. Here we present the results of our work.
