The hiker not only passes numerous chapels, shrines and wayside shrines. The Gothic parish churches of Hirschbach (Mühlviertler Heiligenblut), Waldburg with its world-famous carved altar, the double church of St. Peter with a view of St. Michael. The way back is via the Way of the Cross with its old carved Stations of the Cross as well as modern sculptures, down to the brewing and cultural town of Freistadt. The hiking trail is easy to walk.
