From there, a wonderful view opens up over a ridge to the centre of St. Peter. Through a short section of forest, you reach the village of Eckerstorf and then head downhill to the Hummelmühlbach stream. The long ascent (2 km = 140 metres in altitude) leads to the villages of Ödangl and Habring on the "Berg" ridge. You return to the starting point in St. Peter via the villages of Dorf and Simaden. The hiker is offered a marvellous panoramic view over the Mühlviertel as far as the Alps.
