If you plan your time carefully, you can hike back to the starting point. Alternatively, during the summer months, you can take the boat back. **Note:** The Häfelberg is often mistakenly referred to as “Häferlberg.” The starting point is the parking lot above the former **Kogler Inn**, near the **panoramic sign on Gahberg**.**Option A:** The trailhead for **the Häfelberg** is located on **Gahbergstraße** near the panoramic sign. This route is particularly suitable for families. At the crossroads, the trail continues via **Binderschuss** to **Schörfling** and **Kammer**. The hike takes about **1.5 hours**. **Option B:** At the **Gahberg intersection** next to the transmission tower, the trail turns left toward the two farms. Following the signs for **“Steig / Häfelberg**,” you’ll reach a forest road after about **20 minutes**. Passing the houses and continuing on to the cross, the route then leads to **Schörfling**. The walking time is approximately **2 hours**. On the **Häfelberg** is a “place of good fortune” identified by geomancers and known as **the “Place of Security.”** A cross, benches, shrubs adorned with many lanterns, and a small pond are also located at this special spot.
